What would happen if the world would stop spinning

Earth will never stop spinning altogether. However, tidal forces are slowing its rate of spin. The ultimate result of the tidal forces will be to cause Earth's rate of spin to slow to the point at which the time it takes to complete one rotation about its axis is equal to the amount of time it takes to complete one orbit. In this situation the Earth will keep the same side point at the sun all the time (Just as the Moon keeps one side pointed at the Earth all the time). This is a condition known as tidal lock.

Now then, as Earth's rotation slows, both days and nights will get longer. This means that the day side will have more time to absorb heat from the sun and the night side will have more time to radiate that heat back out to space. This would result in greater differences between the high and low temperature for any day-night cycle. eventually, as Earth approaches tidal lock on the Sun, the day side will become unbearably hot and the night side will become a frozen waste.

I learnt this in school, I hope you all learnt something.
